Aqua Una (Serbia) lead the way with EBWA Training -from
H2O Europe - the journal of European Bottled Watercooler Assotiation
New Serbian company Aqua Una of Smederevska Palanka have
decided they want to be one of the best cooler operations in Eastern
Europe. In consequence they have joined EBWA European Bottled Watercooler
Assotiation and carried EBWA Hygiene Training for all their staff and
had their production staff trained as EBWA Plant Operators all before
a bottle was filled!
General Manager Nikola Knezevic says . 'Our company decided
from the start that they wanted to work to the highest standards. We
therefore joined EBWA as soon as we formed. We have found the EBWA Technical
Manual very useful in helping us set up our business. We are about to
commission our new state of the art Quadrant plant from the UK and are
using the latest Crystal Mountain Water coolers.
So that we got things right from the start we asked Mike Hurst of Watermark
Consultancy to come over to inspect our operation when the plant was
ready for commissioning and also to carry out EBWA training for all
our staff. We are now confident that we can offer our customers the
best water and service in Serbia. We have found EBWA membership to be
invaluable in setting up our business.
Mike Hurst an EBWA Consultant said. 'I must admit to being highly impressed
at what has already been achieved by Aqua Una , Their plant, production
factory and source are all of the highest quality. In addition I found
their young staff to be bright and enthusiastic. The exam results speak
for themselves-only 2 questions wrong amongst all of 10 them in the
hygiene course and three merits and one good pass in the Plant Operator
Training. Highly creditable results!!
With the Serbian market undeveloped the prospects for Aqua Una are highly
promising. This is a classic example of how EBWA can help companies
directly where there is no local association - yet!'
